About the Course

An exploration of the cellular spark plugs of human health. This lecture covers the critical physiological pathways of vitamins and minerals, teaching students how to spot signs of insufficiency, handle therapeutic indications, and establish safe dosing protocols.

What Students Should Know Entering This Session: The core functions of macronutrients (from Session 2). Basic human digestion and systemic anatomy concepts. Core Learning Objectives:

  • Classify micronutrients into water-soluble vs. fat-soluble vitamins and macrominerals vs. trace elements.
  • Identify clinical indications and physical deficiency symptoms associated with inadequate micronutrient intake.
  • Establish evidence-based maintenance and therapeutic doses for key vitamins and minerals.
  • Determine safe upper limits (UL) for micronutrients to prevent toxicity and adverse drug-nutrient interactions
