This lecture provides a comprehensive introduction to the physiological principles underlying human movement and exercise performance. Participants will explore the structure and function of the muscular, cardiovascular, and energy systems, as well as the body's acute and chronic adaptations to exercise.

The lecture covers muscle fiber characteristics, skeletal muscle contraction, energy metabolism, General Adaptation Syndrome (GAS), Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC), and the physiological adaptations to aerobic and resistance training.

Learners will gain the scientific foundation required to optimize exercise prescription and athletic performance.
